Mandatory World Religions flop or not

High schools should not make world religions a mandatory course because there are too many to cover, people could get offended, and it is a waste of school funding. Firstly, there is no possible way to completely cover all of these religions in one curriculum, there are over 4,200 religions in the world and there still new ones being created every day. Secondly, students may get offended about certain religions or about how you teach theirs. In conclusion, this would be an overall inadequate use of school funding and if the schools wanted to they could make it an elective instead.

Soccer chat

The pay gap between female and male soccer players is pointless. It seems fair if you look at the situation from a a view of which gender has the most viewers or brings in the most people during games. I believe you should get paid based on how much money you bring in. I recently saw an article on the soccer news where the female players were upset that they were getting paid less than the males.

When you hear about soccer you usually think of the male players playing in the Olympics and their championships. If the women want to get paid more they need to be able to bring their money in by bringing people into the stands. It wouldn’t be fair to the male counterpart if they all got paid the same and they did more work.

Discourse communities (the table you can’t sit at)

A discourse community I belong to would have to be the cooking community. I have spent most of my days watching chefs prepare food I never even thought of. Some of the things they might say would be “I blanched the ham until I was ready to flambe it” or ” my favorite butter to cook with is clarified butter”. Another community i belong to is The Office, my siblings and I watched the whole series twice and often refer to each other as the characters. Something we might say is, ” did i stutter” which is from an episode in the show. There are many other discourse communities but these are the ones that best suit me.

Friends, not many of us have them

In an article from a men’s health magazine, they state to get rid of an unwanted friendship you should slowly cut them off. I agree with them one hundred percent because you don’t want to make a foe. Firstly you may not want to hurt their feelings, so to save heartbreak, you should begin to slowly distance yourself. Secondly, there may come a time where you wish to rekindle the friendship. Lastly, it would be extremely rude to abruptly cut someone off.

English courses for dummies

The two most important English courses are technical writing and rhetoric and studies. They provide more essential information that you can apply to real life. Technical writing would be beneficial for college students seeing that, they will be crossing the threshold into the professional world. It would be important to understand how you should email and respond to your boss and colleagues. Rhetoric writing and studies is an advantageous course to have taken for the reason that writing and comprehending go hand and hand. In conclusion, it is imperative to have these courses in order to be successful in your career.
